About Me

I am a licensed Psychotherapist and Certified Life Coach specializing in individual, couples and family therapy as well as coaching individuals, couples and parents of teens.  I have a private practice in Los Angeles, California.

With over 20 years of experience as a marriage and family therapist,  I have expertise in treating addiction and recovery.  I have been the clinical supervisor for 2 different hospital chemical dependency programs:  Brotman Hospital and San Pedro Peninsula Hospital.  I facilitated a parent group for 3 years at Insight Treatment Program where I was the Family Therapist.  My knowledge of the 12 steps is expansive.  Other areas of expertise include depression, grief counseling, and conflict resolution.  I have had training in Psychodrama and have facilitated Psychodrama for several different hospital programs in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. Another areas of expertise is working with women, empowering them and facilitating their growth in all areas.  I also work extensively with couples and young adults coming of age.  I help others create the life they envision for themselves.

In recent years, I have become a certified Life Coach.  I partner with clients, focusing on their strengths, talents and dreams to develop a purpose for the next phase of their lives.

I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges.  I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client.  I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

I received my B.A. from UCLA, my Masters from International College where I graduated with honors, and my certification for Life Coaching from the College of Executive Coaching.  I was trained in Psychodrama at the Westwood Institute.

In addition, I have written several articles, taught workshops and am a speaker.  I am a member of the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, Women's Association of Addiction Treatment, International Coach Federation, Recovery Coaches International, and the National Association of Professional Women where I was recently selected as Woman of the Year.
